Our client, a CPA firm with offices in midtown Manhattan, is seeking an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their team. The person will be an integral part of the administrative team, which has the task of supporting the Accountants and Partners in Administrative and Bookkeeping responsibilities, in order to make work flow as efficient as possible.
Job Responsibilities:
Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets.
Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities.
Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
Works closely with other administrative staff and supports other colleagues as needed.
Responds to emails and other digital queries and correspondence.
Answers phone calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel, schedules appointments in person and through TEAM/ZOOM, signs for incoming packages, and assists clients and other visitors.
Maintains physical and digital filing systems.
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
Assisting the other departments in every task the administrative department is required to complete tasks.
Monthly Collection
Monthly GL Accounts reconciliation
Daily and Monthly bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation
Assisting the Office Manager with daily Bookkeeping and monthly closures of the accounting record
Supports the Tax Team (as needed)
Scans and Archives bank statement for the accounting team
Helps to collect documents from the client for tax preparation
Maintains the electronic archive of the clients
Updates the tax season spreadsheet in a timely manner
Willing and able to work 100% in office, located near Grand Central Station in Manhattan
