Shift: Monday - Friday; 40hours; 8:00AM - 5:00PM; Weekend work on rotation
Key Responsibilities
Performing day to day greenhouse/growth chamber activities including planting, pollinating, tissue sampling, pest/disease scouting, harvesting, threshing, discarding, chamber sanitation, general plant care, data collection, data entry, facility cleanliness and maintaining safety standards
Must want to work within a greenhouse facility- there is no lab work.
Collecting tissue samples off of soybean plants for DNA analysis
Perform planting, transplanting, plant crossing, harvest, and discard of Soybean and/or Wheat plants.
Assisting in operating the soybean threshing machine
Plant maintenance including trimming, training, and node cleaning
Cross pollinating, plant discard
Need to be comfortable working with soybean, wheat, pollen and dust
Cleaning of the facility and other basic duties as assigned
