EdgeCore is looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Data Warehouse Architect to join our growing Information Technology team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a cutting-edge data warehouse environment, directly supporting the strategic initiatives of our business. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology, you'll leverage your expertise in SQL Server technologies, specifically within the Microsoft Azure platform, to optimize our data systems and ensure seamless data integration.

  • Design and implement Azure data warehouse solution aligning with EdgeCore's business needs.
  • Integrate data from various sources based on organizational requirements.
  • Be a leader in developing the data quality improvement program.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop an appropriate architecture to support future scalability.
  • Assist and train business users on building customized reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Have a security-first approach in all aspects of technology.
  • Deliver a solution that enables self-service consumption of corporate data in a meaningful way.
  • Continually monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse for efficient retrieval.
  • Adhere to all audit and compliance requirements, as well as data privacy standards, while managing proper access control and data governance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of data flows, processes, and system architecture.
  • Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate access controls, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with EdgeCore's culture of integrity, quality, hard work, and corporate confidentiality.

Your Experience and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Warehouse Engineer or similar role.
  • Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data warehouse solutions on the Azure platform, utilizing Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud data warehouse technologies.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with complex data environments, reliably extracting data from disparate systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving alignment across teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to document work accurately and follow applicable standards.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, delivery focused environment.
  • A leadership mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves in a small growing team.
  • Knowledge of data security, compliance standards, and governance frameworks to safeguard sensitive information.
  • A strong sense of ownership and a commitment to going above and beyond.

What We Offer
  • This is a full-time salaried position, including equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonus
  • This is a hybrid role, with expectations to work four days in-office per week
  • This role is based in downtown Denver, with parking for the successful candidate paid by EdgeCore
  • Base salary range is $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience
