Insight Global is seeking a Hands-on Director of Systems Engineering and Administration for one of our clients in the education management industry. Our client is a growing leader in the education space, operating schools and educational programs around the world that span the life cycle of a student from early learning to higher education. In this role you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of seven system administrators and engineers who all sit remote. We are looking for someone who has experience managing individuals in a remote setting, but still enjoy being hands on.
As the Director you will be responsible for designing, managing, administering, and monitoring applications integral to our client's business partners, their products, and the entire IT organization. We are looking for a passionate IT leader with a large spectrum of experience working across multiple business verticals in a rapidly evolving environment. You will have the opportunity to improve everyday business processes, challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions to modernize our approach in areas covering forecasting, asset management, procurement, and financial reconciliation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Account creation, automation, and support for Google, Windows, and Azure enterprise and education environments.
- Support and implementation of Windows engineering items to include Intune, MFA, DLP, Cloud App Security, Defender ATP and Defender Endpoint.
- Support large environments with a focus on automation and software patching while assessing the stability, security and scalability of our Windows and Google platforms. Our client supports around 10,000+ staff and around 70,000 students.
- Meet tight business timelines, establish and measure required SLAs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of hands-on System Admin/Engineering experience
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace Administration
- Experience supporting an environment with 10,000+ end users
- 4+ years of experience managing a remote team
Compensation:
$135K to $150K per year annual salary.
