Multi Image Group (MIG) is a global leader in producing live meetings, events, and expositions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lighting Programmer/Designer with extensive knowledge of LED video display technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting programming and design principles, as well as expertise in operating and maintaining LED video display systems. As a Lighting Programmer/Designer with LED Video Display Technician knowledge, you will play a crucial role in creating immersive and visually stunning experiences for our clients.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lighting Programming and Design:
Collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative lighting concepts and designs for live meetings, events, and expositions
Create lighting plots, cues, and programming protocols based on the event's technical specifications and creative vision
Utilize lighting control software, such as GrandMA, HOG, or similar systems, to program and control lighting fixtures
Design and program lighting effects, transitions, and scenes to enhance the overall visual impact of the event
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the production team, including audio engineers, video technicians, and set designers, to ensure a unified and synchronized event production
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and vendors to understand and fulfill lighting requirements
Provide technical guidance and support to the lighting crew during load-in, setup, and teardown phases of the event
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards in all aspects of lighting programming, and design
Conduct regular inspections of lighting fixtures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
Good understanding of proper rigging techniques and procedures to ensure the safe installation and operation of lighting and LED video display systems
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience as a Lighting Programmer/Designer
In-depth knowledge of lighting programming software, such as GrandMA, HOG, or similar systems
Strong understanding of lighting design principles, color theory, and visual composition
Basic familiarity with video processing and signal distribution systems is a plus but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
