Job Description:

Quality Engineer:

As a Software Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of software infrastructure for automation and coding and execution of BDD scenarios in an automated fashion. You will interact daily with other team members to ensure that a quality product is delivered in a timely manner. You are expected to be able to own the solution to complex software quality needs from design to delivery.

You will also:
• Participate in an agile development team, implementing user stories with automated testing to verify acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Design, implementation, and documentation of automated software qualification.
• Participate in design, testing, and review processes.
• Should be able to come up with effective effort estimation based on requirements.
• Write product specifications, designs, and technical manuals for automation
• Evaluate third-party products and specifications.
• Maintain responsibility of assigned tasks by using experience/knowledge of environment to make design/development decisions.
• Provide feedback to peer performance reviews.
• Educate others (technical and non-technical) on areas of expertise.
• Work under the supervision of an Engineering Manager.
• Provide development level support for assigned products and projects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Key Areas of Responsibility
• Automate tests using homegrown and/or open source test frameworks.
• Collaborate across teams to develop solution-based test plans and ensure that feedback from different stake holders is incorporated.
• Flexible to work in different areas like Backend, UI and API testing.
• Work towards sustaining current processes and implementing new ones.
• Manage and maintain the QA environments and also plan for the future improvements and support in the planning
• Analyze user stories and business process requirements to estimate quality risks

Basic Qualifications
• 4+ years of software engineering experience in a multi-national company
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience
• Should have good experience with more than one language (C#/ Java/ Javascript / typescript), C# must.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with C#, including a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• At least 1 years of experience with Python, emphasizing testing frameworks and automation
• 1+ years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly in test automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with API testing and performance testing tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Agile development practices (especially Scrum), methodologies and tools.
