This role is responsible for planning and scheduling medium to large-scale utility solar and BESS projects. ($25MM - $300MM). The role would be ideally suited to planners/schedulers who have full project lifecycle experience but have an emphasis on EPCC projects. Candidates must have held at least one Lead Planner role and be comfortable running multi-discipline planning sessions.
Key areas of responsibility:
Lead the development and implementation of the Master Schedule for multiple projects.
Develop portfolio level schedule to report to the business executives.
Perform interactive planning sessions with all relevant disciplines, including engineering, procurement, subcontracts, construction, and commissioning disciplines to define schedule requirements and work sequences.
Provide WBS-coded, resource-loaded, leveled project schedules (L1-L5) using various planning and scheduling methodologies. Work with subcontractors to integrate their schedules into the master schedule.
Develop and maintain regular scheduling reporting to senior management, including but not limited to look-ahead schedules, Manpower, Earned Value Reporting, Key Commodity Tracking, Project KPI Dashboarding, and client reports as required. Monitor, collect, and enter progress on a regular basis for the project, with assurance reviews to ensure realistic progress is being captured.
Lead project schedule reviews and drive communication to project leadership when risk areas are identified, with appropriate mitigation plans to assure on-time delivery.
Perform ongoing schedule analysis, critical path analysis, earned value analysis, risk analysis reporting, evaluate, and recommend schedule improvements and opportunities.
Support the project team by providing clear visibility on status and schedule.
Provide guidance and support to other planning/scheduling staff as required.
Facilitate Project Planning sessions with stakeholders (Development, Engineering, Procurement, Construction) to help define project strategy and workflow to ensure team ownership of schedules as they are developed.
Proactively work with the EPC departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting of weekly status.
Manage the company-wide Schedule portfolio (Microsoft Project Enterprise or Primavera EPS) and continually develop its capacities (OBS, Resources, etc.) to accommodate increased functionality as the company works towards integrated systems.
Develop standardized and "ad-hoc" reports for EPC team members.

5 years of experience in an EPC environment, both in self-perform and subcontracted scopes of work; solar experience is a plus.
Minimum 2-3 years of full-time experience using Primavera P6 (8.2+) (or advanced level expertise in Microsoft Project) in the role of Project Scheduler or Project Controls Specialist
Solid understanding of CPM methodologies and applications
Expert knowledge of planning, scheduling, Earned Value Management, Work Breakdown Structure, Critical Path Method, Risk Path, Program Evaluation Review Technique, Systems and Sub-systems, Advanced Work Packaging, and Time Impact Analysis.
Well-versed in tracking progress and monitoring performance, communications reporting, measuring project performance, and project evaluation.
Solid functional understanding of EPC operations and Construction processes
Advanced competency with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, including:
Using best practices for planning/scheduling (minimal use of constraints, extensive use of activity codes, focus on pure logic-driven schedules, production-based duration basis, etc.)
Understanding and capacity to create and maintain portfolio-level infrastructure within the planning/scheduling software
Capacity to work with programmers/developers to provide criteria for systems integration.
Resource, cost, and quantity loading of activities
Proactive attitude
Attention to detail and diligence with completeness/accuracy of information
Ability to travel to site locations for short visits as needed (max 1-2 days per week)
Able to manage multiple workflows, including distributing the workload among a pool of planners and schedulers.
