Pay rate: $47 -$52 Per Hour
1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, (Monday to Friday)

Job Description:
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for developing and designing electronic enclosures for aero-gas turbine engines. In this role, the Design Engineer ensures the enclosure definition meets the project requirements from concept to qualification test.
You will be responsible for supporting local Corporation and global engine programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with electronics engineering to develop enclosures that jointly meet electronic and mechanical requirements and guidelines
Support the creation of detailed drawings and model-based definitions and support project/manufacturing to procure conforming hardware
Orchestrate Technical Review/Design Review and communicate solutions with the project/customer: develop technical presentations and associated technical reports in the delivery of solutions
Perform component trade studies for new and existing hardware, create and review functional and physical interfaces, and generate analysis requirements for the enclosure.
Assure compliance with applicable product certification requirements (i.e. RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810)
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of design experience OR
Master's degree in Engineering OR
JD/PhD Engineering

Preferred:
Electronic enclosure design and manufacturing experience
Knowledge of aero gas turbine control systems
Experience using computer-aided design tools such as Siemens NX
Familiarity with design processes and component testing
