The Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for actively assisting the Buyers with the strategy, development, and selection of merchandise while supporting the department through the entire product lifecycle.
This position is responsible for departmental reporting, works collaboratively with cross functional partners, and expertly manages needs for buying division.
This role reports to our NYC office on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office/3 days WFH).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain seasonal assortment sheets
Assist Buyer in the selection of merchandise and assortment planning
Assist and support Buyer in preparation for merchandise investment reviews
Working with Product Development to get new styles setup & samples (for merchandise)
Ongoing cleanup and maintenance of customer brand orders
Transfer of goods from wholesale to web and v-v
Prep and troubleshoot training document seasonally (4-5 per year per brand) for Customer Service
Complete product setup sheets for WEB product data enrichment
Respond to product reviews and/or forward to appropriate Product Development counterparts as sent by Ecommerce Team
Complete Links needs for Promotional Calendar seasonally
Assist in pulling of reports and ad hoc analysis to support buyers and assortment planner as needed
QA Final product Upload Readiness reports to ensure accuracy of product, images and attributes
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
4 year degree in relevant field
1-2 years of relevant experience in e-commerce buying
Strong sense of fashion, analytical skills and knowledge of retail math
Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Process a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and the competition
Ability to lead and influence in a fast-paced retail environment, be customer-focused, work in a team and build relationships
