The Belmont Group has an open opportunity for a mid-level Field Implementation Engineer to support the FAA.
Experience:
Experience working side-by-side with FAA TechOps Field Techs, vendor equipment installers, FAA planning & requirements engineers, and FAA ATC Facilities and Engineering Services is required
Hands-on technical/field implementation experience, including conduct of Site Surveys (assessing FAA power, grounding, rack space, environmental, telecom, Air-to-Ground Radio connections, rack installation, cable prep)
Understanding of how NAS systems are installed, checked-out and placed into service at ATC facilities
NAS Systems Implementation experience - TechOps experience is required
Hands-on experience in the field witnessing vendor equipment installations and performing FAA check-out testing
NAS implementation experience with technical knowledge planning and implementation perspective - ability to perform implementation coordination remotely
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language.
Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated, and willingness to multi-task.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of a team or across lines of business.
Creative problem-solver with excellent troubleshooting skills.
Can work remotely or in the Washington, DC area
Must be able to pass Federal security and suitability assessments
Travel:
The selected person will be remote but may be required to travel to FAA HQ in Washington, DC and to the Technical Center in New Jersey. Up to 10% travel may be required.
