Our client is a leading customer-focused IT firm committed to delivering top-tier solutions and support to our clients. We're seeking a skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our team, someone who excels in technical expertise and has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This is a Direct Hire opportunity which will be mostly on-site at the beginning before moving to a mostly remote work arrangement once ramped up and contributing.
As a Windows Systems Administrator, you will be at the forefront of IT operations, working directly with clients to provide comprehensive support and management of their Windows environments. Your role will involve a blend of hands-on technical work and customer interaction, making communication and a customer-first mindset essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support: Provide outstanding customer service by addressing and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Windows Server Administration: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Active Directory Management: Administer and support Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and security settings.
Scripting: Develop and utilize scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to automate routine tasks and streamline operations.
System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and implement updates as needed.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and client interactions.
Virtualization: VMware or Hyper-V experience is nice to have
Nice to Have:
IIS Administration: Experience with managing and troubleshooting Internet Information Services (IIS).
SQL Administration: Basic knowledge of SQL Server administration, including backups, restores, and performance tuning.
Citrix Support: Manage and troubleshoot Citrix environments, ensuring seamless delivery of applications and desktops.
Linux Administration
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Windows Systems Administration.
Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Citrix environments.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to have: Experience with IIS and SQL Server administration.
