We have an exciting 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Sr. Full Stack Java Engineer focused on backend development and AWS. Role Details:
Location: Alpharetta, GA (On-site)
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Focus: Backend Java development and AWS integrations
About the Team and Work: The team you're joining is responsible for building an interface/application that connects benefits providers (e.g., BCBS, Kaiser) with an HR and Payroll product, allowing employees to enroll in benefits seamlessly. This includes integrating financial systems and payroll systems for automatic benefit deductions and premium payments to carriers.
Technologies you'll work with:
Backend: Heavy focus on Java and AWS
Containers and Microservices
Frontend: Some exposure to JavaScript flavors like Stencil and Typescript
What We're Looking For:
6-8 years of experience in Java development and working in AWS environments
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose performance issues in existing code, identify root causes, and propose solutions
Previous experience building libraries and integrating with external systems, especially in complex environments
Ability to discuss problem-solving and diagnostic approaches from past work
Familiarity with profiling tools to understand and resolve performance bottlenecks
