Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Office 365 SaaS applications and Azure AD environments.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot virtual servers and desktops within a VMWare infrastructure.
  • Assist the IT Manager in maintaining on-site servers and clustered VMWare and XenServer environments.
  • Support the Digital Services team in maintaining AWS servers (primarily Linux) hosting databases and custom web applications.
  • Oversee network and email accounts for hybrid work environments.
  • Provide advanced IT support to staff, addressing escalated issues beyond helpdesk capabilities.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects, including maintenance and documentation of core systems.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network printers.
  • Set up and troubleshoot mobile devices.
  • Be available for occasional on-call support and scheduled system maintenance outside regular work hours.

Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible IT experience.
  • Relevant certifications or education in technology/computer science can substitute for up to five years of experience (e.g., MCSA or MCSE certifications preferred).

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Office 365 administration, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, 11, and Windows Server).
  • Expertise with VMWare and/or Citrix XenServer virtualization technologies.
  • Advanced understanding of networking (e.g., IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with Linux systems (preferably Ubuntu).
  • Experience with MS SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GIS systems (e.g., Esri, QGIS) is a plus.
  • Experience with physical server interconnections and SAN hardware (IBM or Dell/EMC preferred).
