As we continue to expand our Financial Planning & Analysis department, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for the organization. This position requires a strong foundation in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, ability to conduct comprehensive what-if scenario analysis, and advanced proficiency in Excel. The ideal candidate will need a strong background in finance/accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. This role is for an individual who is self-starter and thrives in a dynamic, growth environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
Conduct financial analysis on a regular basis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of concern, as well as providing recommendations for improvements.
Conduct what-if scenario analysis to assess the potential impact of various business decisions and market conditions on financial performance.
Perform the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop detailed budgets and forecasts.
Perform variance analysis to track actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variances, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Support ad-hoc analysis request by conducting financial due diligence, performing valuation analysis, and assisting with integration planning.
Prepare financial reports and analysis, providing insights into key financial metrics and trends.
Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including Accounting, Operations, and Business Development, to support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, or corporate finance roles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building complex financial models and utilizing advanced functions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful insights.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of financial due diligence, valuation analysis, mergers and acquisitions processes is highly desirable.
