As we continue to expand our Financial Planning & Analysis department, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for the organization. This position requires a strong foundation in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, ability to conduct comprehensive what-if scenario analysis, and advanced proficiency in Excel. The ideal candidate will need a strong background in finance/accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. This role is for an individual who is self-starter and thrives in a dynamic, growth environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Conduct financial analysis on a regular basis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of concern, as well as providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Conduct what-if scenario analysis to assess the potential impact of various business decisions and market conditions on financial performance.
  • Perform the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop detailed budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis to track actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variances, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis request by conducting financial due diligence, performing valuation analysis, and assisting with integration planning.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis, providing insights into key financial metrics and trends.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including Accounting, Operations, and Business Development, to support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, or corporate finance roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building complex financial models and utilizing advanced functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of financial due diligence, valuation analysis, mergers and acquisitions processes is highly desirable.
