We are delighted to partner with an RNG developer/owner/operator looking for a Contract Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.
The Procurement Associate is responsible for assisting in the procurement processes in a fast-paced, dynamic, and specialized environment. This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager. It plays a critical role in sourcing materials for biogas plants, researching potential vendors, and maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other critical supply chain data.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing potential vendors, comparing prices, and negotiating contracts.
Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
Support the Procurement Manager in market research to keep abreast of changing industry trends.
Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality merchandise is delivered on time.
Respond to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure smooth process flow.
Assist in the development of plans for storage, testing, or disposal of surplus materials.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
Experience in buying specialized engineering equipment for energy or gas & oil plants
Familiarity with procurement software and tools, such as SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, or similar.
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
