As a Google Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of cloud architectures that align with our clients' goals and business needs. Your expertise will help shape cloud strategies and transformation initiatives for various
enterprise clients.
Google Cloud Architect Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand requirements and translate them into GCP-based solutions.
Develop cloud migration strategies and lead the migration of on-premise applications and data to the cloud.
Provide thought leadership on GCP best practices, architecture patterns, and emerging technologies.
Optimise cloud infrastructure to improve performance, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.
Participate in technical workshops, presentations, and client meetings to communicate the value of GCP solutions.
Stay up to date with Google Cloud offerings and industry trends, sharing insights with internal teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong knowledge of cloud services and tools within GCP, including but not limited to Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and IAM.
Proven experience in designing and deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
Expertise in cloud migration strategies and implementation.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification is desirable.
Salary range; £150,000-£200,000
