Head of Operations/Finance

We are seeking an experienced, action-oriented leader to serve as Head of Operations/Finance, responsible for scaling a high-growth technology and services business. This role combines strategic financial leadership with operational oversight, supporting growth objectives and ensuring profitability.

Our cutting-edge AI-powered acoustic sensing platform digitizes critical infrastructure, delivering predictive analytics for industries like oil, gas, and pipelines. With 45 patents and operations in the US, Middle East, Latin America, and China, we're transforming operational safety and efficiency across the energy landscape.

Role Overview:

The Head of Operations/Finance will work closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and the board to align finance and operations with strategic goals. This includes overseeing HR, legal, corporate development, customer success, and FP&A functions. The ideal candidate will bring a metrics-driven approach, M&A experience, and the ability to drive operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, aligning operations with company goals.
  • Lead finance, HR, corporate development, and customer success teams.
  • Drive financial planning, reporting, and KPI tracking to support strategic objectives.
  • Optimize operational processes and implement systems for scalability.
  • Develop and execute strategies for M&A and inorganic growth.
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to decision-making and value creation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and report on value creation plans.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience scaling PE/VC-backed companies ($25M-$100M+ revenue).
  • Strong operational finance background with a focus on profitability and efficiency.
  • Expertise in energy or oil & gas industries is highly desirable.
  • Track record of implementing metrics and KPIs to drive decision-making.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on leadership and a collaborative style.
  • M&A experience, including due diligence and post-deal integration.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage board-level materials.

  • Consistently meet or exceed OpEx, EBITDA, and margin targets.
  • Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with business priorities.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages accountability and innovation.
