We have an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Project Manager to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Our ideal candidate will play a lead role in organizing, planning, and executing projects while working within restraints like budgets and schedules. The PM will lead entire teams, define project goals, communicate with stakeholders, and see a project through to its closure.

Responsibilities:

Their responsibilities at a high level include:

  • Defining the scope of the project
  • Staying on schedule
  • Planning a project's cost and sticking to a budget
  • Managing project resources (including teams and workers)
  • Documenting the progress of the project
  • Communicating with stakeholders
  • Assessing risks
  • Troubleshooting

In more detail, a strong project manager will effectively lead projects as follows:

  • Based on the requirements, objectives, deliverables, and proposed solution, develop a detailed project plan schedule with the identified task dependencies and critical path
  • Identify, estimate, plan, and document the resources required to achieve the project objectives and deliverables
  • Ensure coordination of activity, driving of progress, and tracking status against project plans, timelines, and changing priorities from initiation through closeout
  • Evaluate change requests and manage the associated changes to project scope, time, and cost
  • Coordinate directly and indirectly with project staff to ensure successful completion of projects, including directing, supervising, supporting and coordinating the project team members
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel and ensure accountability for task completion
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and continually manage those expectations
  • Define the project scope, success criteria, objectives, and deliverables that are aligned with business strategy and objectives
  • Report project status on a regular basis and assist in preparation of steering committee presentations as required
  • Identify and manage project risks and track/manage resolution of project issues
  • Balance and manage the project constraints of scope, cost, time, resources, risk, and quality
  • Manage key stakeholder expectations, concerns, and needs throughout the project
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Lead post implementation reviews
  • Partner with the cross functional project teams to build and implement a change management plan
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Cross function leadership and integration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with team members, stakeholders, vendors, and customers
  • Highly organized - able to prioritize and multitask to keep a portfolio of projects running smoothly
  • Critical thinking - analyzing and evaluating situations to help prevent issues before they happen
  • A great attitude and sense of humor - having a positive approach to the projects and problems can ease stress and energize the project team members

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with studies in project management is a plus
  • PMP and/or CAPM certifications are a plus
  • A minimum of 5-7 years leading large, complex projects preferably in a manufacturing environment
