We are searching for a Market Area Operations Director to drive operational excellence, develop managerial talent, and enhance processes that support revenue growth and customer satisfaction. This leadership role ensures the successful execution of business objectives across multiple trades while fostering a culture of servant leadership and continuous improvement. This role will support Southern Air, a leader in HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical/Generator services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership Across All Trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical/Generators)
Drive revenue growth across all three trades by implementing and monitoring strategies.
Oversee and improve sales key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with company goals.
Champion the "Dispatching for Dollars" and "Right Tech, Right Call" processes to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
2. Leadership Development for Trade Managers
Train, motivate, and coach Trade Managers, ensuring they lead high-performing teams.
Conduct monthly one-on-one sessions with each Trade Manager to review performance and align on goals.
Develop and implement elite leadership and training programs for Trade Managers to enhance their effectiveness.
Lead weekly team meetings with Trade Managers to address challenges, share insights, and drive alignment.
3. Support for General Manager Development
Partner with the Market Area President (MAP) to train and support General Managers.
Assist with recruiting efforts and onboarding new General Managers, ensuring alignment with Southern Air's culture and values.
4. Enhance Regional Business Performance
Monitor and improve key financial metrics, including EBITDA, to meet and exceed regional targets.
Support initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and reputation management through exceptional service.
Drive cultural improvements by promoting collaboration, accountability, and a servant leadership mindset across all levels of the organization.
5. Collaboration with Market Area President (MAP)
Assist the MAP with strategic initiatives and operational needs across the region.
Provide actionable insights and support for cross-functional projects and priorities.
Requirements:
Proven experience in operational leadership within the HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical/Generators industries, or a similar trade-focused business.
Strong sales acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing sales processes.
Exceptional leadership and coaching skills, with experience developing managerial talent.
Familiarity with financial metrics such as EBITDA and experience improving operational efficiency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a culture of excellence and servant leadership.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
