Responsibilities:
Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including the FLSA, ADA, and NLRA.
Draft and revise employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and employee handbooks.
Develop and implement employment-related policies and procedures that mitigate risks and promote compliance.
Guide employers through wage-hour audits, EEOC and NLRB charges, OFCCP audits, and OSHA inspections.
Represent clients in individual, class, and collective lawsuits, ensuring exceptional defence strategies.
Conduct anti-harassment training and advise on positive employee relations strategies.
Collaborate with in-house HR and management teams to enhance operational efficiencies and compliance.
Qualifications:
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar.
Extensive experience in employment law, including litigation and counseling across various federal and state frameworks.
Proven expertise in labour relations, collective bargaining, and union-related matters.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams effectively.
A demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire junior attorneys and staff.
Familiarity with industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, retail, or financial services is a plus.
