Stradley Ronon is hiring a Legal Practice Assistant ("LPA") in the firm's Investment Management (IM) Department reporting to the Legal Support Manager. This position will reside in the Washington, D.C. office and will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and substantive legal support to the IM Department in an environment where superior client service is emphasized. This role will have the opportunity for significant learning opportunities through routine engagement with attorneys and legal professionals, while preparing you for the next chapter in your professional career.
Key responsibilities of this position:
Establish, organize, and maintain physical and electronic case and client files;
Support the development and management of projects and practice group timelines;
Coordinate communication and planning across attorney teams handling multiple client matters;
Assist with research and compiling, drafting, proofreading, and editing various materials;
Provide administrative support, including, but not limited to, document production, business intake materials and expense forms/paperwork;
Communicate with government offices regarding policies and status inquiries;
Provide support with electronic filing in a variety of courts and administrative offices;
Draft and assist in the preparation of meeting minutes;
Coordinate and participate in day-to-day client management;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred;
1+ year(s) of legal or professional services industry experience a plus;
Independent, self-starting, and self-motivated;
Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment are a must;
Exceptional organizational skills;
Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ; ability to learn law firm-specific software as needed.
