Write COBOL programs based on project specifications to enhance, modify, and maintain core business systems; assists in planning software installations and maintenance to minimize workflow interruption and downtime; actively participates in ensuring a stable release.
Troubleshoot and solve coding problems/issues; implement changes to code or installation to correct errors; analyzes data input and potential problems in the software environment.
Collaborate with client representatives, leaders, and other stakeholders to fully understand the tasks that must be accomplished by the projects requested.
Assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive documentation of program development and revisions and in the preparation of user documents and training materials.
