Hospital Organizational Development SME (Surgery Phase 2)
Organizational consultants provide organizations with independent advice on optimizing business alignment and utilizing human resources. They analyze organizational structures, evaluate the efficiency of business communication and decision making processes, and interview managers and staff to identify developmental needs.
To ensure success as an organizational development consultant, you should possess extensive experience as a development specialist in the HLS industry and the ability to objectively evaluate the allocation of resources. An accomplished organizational consultant will be someone whose expertise results in enhanced productivity and increased profitability of their client organizations:
Organizational Development Consultant Responsibilities:
Assessing business structures, procedures, processes, and resource utilization.
Advising executives and senior managers on efficient and cost-effective developmental strategies.
Designing and implementing organizational developmental action plans and training programs.
Interviewing Board, Executive and Operational personnel and performing skills and collaboration assessments.
Collaborating with the human resources department on recruitment and staff development initiatives.
Facilitating business optimization by conducting individual or group training sessions.
Restructuring departments to optimize efficiency in line with business objectives.
Identifying interdepartmental cooperation opportunities and promoting cross-functionality.
Evaluating the impact of staff development initiatives on employee performance and retention.
Documenting processes and preparing progress reports.
Organizational Development Consultant Requirements:
Master's degree in industrial-organizational psychology, organizational development, or similar.
Bachelor's degree coursework in business administration or HR will be advantageous.
At least two years' experience as an organizational consultant in a related industry.
Extensive experience in skills development and capacity building initiatives.
Proficiency in office and business administration software.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Superb leadership and collaboration abilities.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.

Demonstrated ability to deliver successful transformation programs across a variety of healthcare systems and providers
Analysis and problem solving - strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and able to translate personal experience and knowledge into approaches and solutions to client problems
Project management - able to work within formal project and change management disciplines, excellent attention to detail to ensure the high quality of workstream outputs
Communication - aptitude to engage and influence client staff while ensuring clarity and impact, in both verbal and written communication
Effective teamwork - able to work effectively as part of a team and, on occasions, lead a small team, knowing when and how to contribute specialist input for maximum impact
Stakeholder Management - capable of building strong, expertise and trust-based relationships with trust staff and through this drive tangible improvements in productivity
Years of experience:
5-10 years operational management experience within the health service and/or management consultancy within the healthcare sector
