The State Manufacturing Manager directs, manages, and optimizes the overall operations of the cultivation and production facility in Ironton, OH. This position establishes systems to collect metrics, analyze productivity, and sets performance targets that will meet revenue and cost goals. This position leads the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, the state manufacturing manager ensures robust building safety and security procedures and training are in place and that operations are in compliance with all required regulations. This position directs support functions to ensure alignment with overall plant operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee daily operations of the business unit
Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections
Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, cultivation, and technical services policies and practices; and coordinating actions with corporate staff
Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports
Provide direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit
Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the cannabis products for consumers
Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
Oversee key hiring and talent development programs
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent
Communicate strategy and results to the unit's employees
Report key results to corporate officers
Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Review and enforce all company policies and standard operating procedures
Provide reports on a regular basis (at least quarterly) and as directed or requested
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
Proactive in understanding and educating changing regulations, laws, and best practices, as they apply to the business and industry
Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business administration, law, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
5+ years' experience working in manufacturing, agriculture, and/or food service industry
5+ years' proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
WORK SCHEDULE:
55+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on business needs.
Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays.
