We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of ground-up commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that daily on-site operations run smoothly, and the project progresses on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent in managing daily site operations, including coordinating subcontractors and trades.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure work aligns with project requirements.
Track project progress and report updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
Maintain detailed daily logs of on-site activities and issues.
Coordinate deliveries of materials and ensure proper inventory management.
Help resolve on-site challenges and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in construction, preferably with ground-up commercial projects.
Familiarity with construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and basic computer skills.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
Willingness to work on-site and travel as required by project locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
Experience in managing subcontractors and schedules on commercial construction projects.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic site conditions.
