We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Field Technician to join our team. This role involves performing daily inspections, troubleshooting, and operating robotic systems at customer sites. The successful candidate will support the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of autonomous robotic systems while providing excellent customer service and ensuring systems perform efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
System Inspection and Maintenance:
Conduct daily inspections of robotic systems and connected equipment.
Boot up and troubleshoot associated systems to ensure operational readiness.
Deployment and Testing:
Set up environments and configure robots for pre-defined use cases.
Assist in testing robot operations by picking and replenishing goods as required.
Record and document system performance, issues, and provide suggestions for improvement.
Customer Support:
Travel to customer sites (100% travel required) and stay for extended periods as needed.
Interface with customers, provide operational guidance, and address any concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of system status, troubleshooting steps, and improvements.
Write and update procedures and work instructions for robotics operations.
Training and Process Improvement:
Train customers or team members on robot operation and associated procedures.
Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance performance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; additional technical certifications are a plus.
Experience in a professional setting with medium-level responsibilities.
Familiarity with command-line interfaces on Linux systems.
Experience in writing procedures or work instructions.
Exposure to Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) or similar technologies is preferred.
Experience training others is a plus.
