Industrial Talent Group is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that aerospace components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include inspecting materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards, such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Monitor in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production personnel.
Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework, and verifying rework completion.
Document inspection results into reports and ERP systems.
Create Nonconforming Product Reports (NCRs) when necessary.
Assist in determining the root causes of product defects and reworks.
Maintain measurement equipment by following operational instructions and calibration requirements.
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to read and interpret GD&T on drawings.
Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
1-2 years of experience in a quality control role.
Basic computer proficiency.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with production personnel.
High School Diploma required; degree preferred.
1-2 years of experience in a quality control role.
Proficiency with measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, pins, and other instruments.
