The Program Fulfillment Coordinator supports the Asset Management Department in directing the Company's equipment to TTX divisions, independent repair facilities, rack fabricators, railroad rack repair/modification facilities, scrap dealers, storage locations and field maintenance operations in order to meet planned maintenance, program and retirement schedules as well as reduce out of service time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of management, uses various systems to locate cars for movement to facility or storage for TTX programs and goals. Correspond with Regional Field Supervisor Team to ensure a streamlined effort to successfully direct equipment to facility.
Creates industry standard waybills for car movement by entering required car information in reporting railroad systems and place TTX directives on equipment to and from facility, in order to ensure proper routing of equipment.
Heavily involved in the daily follow up and monitoring of railcars on directive to facility to ensure railcars remain enroute and arrive at destination with limited delay.
Create, maintain and/or manage reports as needed to streamline departmental tasks, provide information on progress toward schedules and programs. Provide weekly scorecard to stake holders summarizing progress toward each active program and priorities for the following week.
Measure and monitor compliance rate on cars directed to Facilities.
Ensures accuracy and integrity of disposition data across TTX systems
Liaison between the Equipment - Maintenance Scheduling Department and Fleet - Asset Management.
Review any and all program requirements provided by Equipment to determine feasibility from a fleet perspective, and coordinate a strategic plan for successful fulfillment.
Establish and maintain relationships with railroads to communicate program initiatives and establish cooperation in providing program cars. Enhance processes between TTX and railroads where needed to improve the capture rate.
Minimize mileage payout to railroads by directing scheduled cars to nearest facility.
Needs to understand NR Codes of directed cars in UFD to ensure compliance or violations are processed appropriately
Assists the Manager Asset Management in accomplishing the goals of the department by completing special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Four year college or university program certificate/degree preferred.
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in logistics or transportation field highly desirable.
Attention to detail, and problem solving skills are required.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, have the ability to understand and set priorities, and display a sense of urgency.
Experience in process improvement is a plus. Must have interest in participating in continuous improvement within all job responsibilities and departmental activities.
Must have intermediate understanding and abilities with Excel, PowerPoint, and proficient typing skills. Ability to be self-motivated and learn new computer applications quickly.
Willing to travel to rail yards and remote working sites, sometimes includes overnight or multi-day visits.
Ability to apply educated reasoning to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in generally standardized situations.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
