Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for all aspects of sourcing and procurement inclusive of: supplier partnerships, purchasing, coordinating and scheduling delivery for all materials, and material master data. Supports Inventory Planning Manager in compilation and preparation of reports and strategy analytics inclusive of business requirements, industry trends, price drivers, forecast (volume and price), innovation and supplier performance. The Technical Specialist II must excel when working in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with excellence and efficiency. This individual will partner with Agile's cross functional teams, subcontractors, union crew and vendors to resolve issues involving customer needs. This is a HYBRID/Field based position requiring you to report to San Diego office 3 days per week.

Job Functions
  • Ensures product data accuracy (stock code numbers and descriptions).
  • Assists with identifying instances of SKU functional duplication.
  • Provide ongoing support for Materials Management ("MM") for the 3P business units including data extraction, reporting and forecasting.
  • Monitor SX.e data records and performance, troubleshoot and support integration errors and work with internal IT to resolve issues.
  • Recommend approaches for new or improved supply chain processes.
  • Ensure lead times, and warranty data are kept current among various manufacturers and suppliers
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, supply chain teams, and suppliers to use continuous improvement techniques to improve internal business unit and supply chain outcomes.
  • Helps facilitate supplier performance measurement, and collaborates with key suppliers to identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Works with internal team as well as the client to develop and manage tools necessary to track supplier performance (ex: scorecards).
  • Develops and maintains plans that identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of procurement processes.
  • Plans, manages, and assumes complete responsibility for all activities and processes associated with the procurement activities assigned.
  • Procurement of transmission materials, substation materials, and complex materials categories.
  • Ensures entire procure-to-pay process is working and that PO creation and invoicing follow best practices.
  • Optimizes order quantity by reviewing purchase history and procuring and maintaining inventory in accordance with commitments.
  • Procures and maintains inventory in accordance with commitments and approval policy.
  • Monitors and reports on lead times, product backorders, delays, etc. especially as it relates to the project's critical path.

Requirements

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or directly related discipline or equivalent 4 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Operations environment.
  • Minimum three years of Sourcing/Procurement experience.

Competencies
  • Proven experience in Procurement and Inventory roles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and recordkeeping methods.
  • Working knowledge of purchasing/inventory management software (e.g. SAP, SX.e).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to professionally represent the company and program in multiple settings.
  • Presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
  • Strong proficiency with computer skills including SAP, SX.e, MS Outlook, Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members.
  • Highly motivated, results focused and acts with a high sense of urgency.
