This position is responsible for supervising and mentoring engineering staff and fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. This position will be responsible for supervising all engineering activities, including designing projects, and staking lines to be built, in compliance with specifications.

Serve as a key liaison between the client and city governments, ensuring smooth collaboration throughout the build process for telecommunications projects.
Act as the primary point of contact to address and resolve any issues that arise, such as discrepancies in documentation, regulatory compliance concerns, or project adjustments.
Proactively coordinate with city departments to understand permitting requirements, timelines, and changes in local regulations that may impact projects.
Represent the organization in meetings, hearings, or negotiations with city officials to advocate for project needs and secure approvals.
Ensure all permitting applications, documents, and associated plans are prepared, submitted, and followed up on in a timely and accurate manner.
Manages all engineering functions for the purpose of ensuring effective outside plant distribution systems and processes are in place.
Develop and nurture relationships with vendors to ensure the best materials and prices are received for each project.
Identify engineering trends and implement best practices.
Prepare and present recommendations and proposals to management
Develop, maintain, and monitor quality control measures.
Coordination of projects with professional engineering firms.
Reviews OSP layout construction for the purpose of ensuring validity of routes.
Prepare construction documentation and review blueprints and other drawings.
Contact property owners for laying conduit/cable/fiber in easements.
Research locations, requirements, and permits.
Compute cable/fiber size, amount, and location and compile material sheets.
Budgeting and Resource Management
Develop and manage the Engineering budget, optimizing for costs without compromising quality.
Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and operational requirements.
Education and Experience
High school diploma, required
B.S. degree in engineering, or a related field, strongly preferred
PE Certification
Five or more years engineering, required
Five or more years of Fiber engineering required
Five or more years telephony or broadband engineering, required
A valid driver's license and good driving record, required
