Job Description:

A leading law firm is seeking a New Business Intake Analyst to support the Conflicts Department. The ideal candidate will apply standardized criteria and procedures to open new matters and contribute to the efficient operation of the department. Key responsibilities include conducting conflict of interest searches, compiling conflict reports, data entry, and verifying client/matter information using platforms such as Aderant and Intapp NBI Workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the intake of clients, matters, and requests from attorneys, legal assistants, and other staff, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Process non-financial client and matter information changes in compliance with firm policies.
  • Conduct database research to facilitate change request processing.
  • Perform routine quality checks of data management, including client, matter, and conflict data.
  • Process and coordinate departing attorney reports and responses.
  • Maintain a professional customer service attitude with internal and external clients.
  • Assist other departments with client/matter data inquiries and reports.
  • Prepare or assist with the daily New Matters report distribution.
  • Coordinate the engagement letter and conflicts waiver processes.
  • Assist with lateral conflicts checks.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of law firm experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
