Senior Estimator - General Construction at Compu Dynamics in Chantilly, Virginia

If so, Compu Dynamics is looking for a Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team!

Essential Functions:

1. Performs estimating, bidding and proposal development for potential projects.
2. Communicates and follows up with Clients about specific projects, their goals, and deliverables.
3. Provides Preconstruction services and prepares written estimates for clients based on labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts and other expenses.
4. Meets budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
5. Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure our construction teams have the materials they need.
6. Visits project sites as needed.
7. Navigates and understands building codes.
8. Schedules meetings with customers, site managers, and staff.
9. Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
10. Responsible for maintaining an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship and deliver quality work.
11. Drives throughout service area while following all local laws.
12. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent education and experience;
2. 10+ years of experience in Estimating & Project Management for Projects ranging from $500K to $50M

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science or Architecture field
2. Construction experience with a commercial General Contractor
3. SCIF Construction experience a plus
4. Experience with Data Center, Healthcare, Life Sciences and/or Tenant Fit-out
5. PMP Certification a plus
6. Active Security Clearance a plus
7. Software: Autodesk, Bluebeam, Procore, On Screen OST, Building Connected
