We are seeking a individual to join our Tax Administrative department in our Atlanta Office to support our tax department and handle other administrative duties within the firm as needed. Must be a proactive team player with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to multi-task. Must be professional with excellent communication and organizational skills. This individual will report to the Director of Tax.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for sending out tax organizers, engagement letters, and tax returns
Process and send tax returns, extensions, and miscellaneous forms in accordance with governing agency filing requirements and internal standard operating procedures, in both paper and electronic format
Follow up with client for tax documents
Ensure client satisfaction
Monitor due date lists and e-file status
Assist in maintaining databases and client records
Support tax staff with additional tax administrative duties as assigned
Assist completing simple tax filings as needed
Qualifications and Experience
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision
Excellent customer service skills; able to interact with clients in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and thorough; able to see how the details fit into the bigger picture in a task
Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems with a positive attitude
Ability to learn new software quickly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Maintains a positive/cheerful attitude
High School graduate or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Skills
Experience with CCH ProSystem fx software, CCH e-filing, XCM solutions
2+ years of experience with corporate/personal tax preparation
