Job Description:

Introduction
  • Analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems. Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Establishes standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IES Gateway Integration: Design and implement comprehensive integration solutions between Salesforce and IES Gateway, ensuring reliable data synchronization and process automation.
  • Solution Architecture: Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions that effectively leverage IES Gateway capabilities for grant management and financial reporting.
  • System Integration: Create robust integration patterns using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools to establish secure data flows between Salesforce and state systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide development teams in implementing integration solutions while ensuring adherence to both Salesforce and state system standards.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure solutions meet federal and state security requirements, implementing proper data protection and audit mechanisms.
  • Business Collaboration: Partner with DECAL stakeholders to gather requirements and translate complex integration needs into technical solutions.
  • Grant Management: Design solutions that leverage IES Gateway for streamlined grant processing, financial reporting, and compliance tracking.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all integration components, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and security protocols.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience:
  • Minimum 7+ years in Salesforce architecture and development roles.
  • 2+ years' experience with government system integrations.
  • Proven experience with state-level eligibility systems or similar platforms.

Technical Skills:
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities and integration patterns.
  • Strong experience with API design, web services, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in integration technologies (MuleSoft, SOAP/REST APIs, middleware).
  • Deep understanding of government eligibility systems and grant management processes.

Essential Certifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architect
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I:

Optional Certification:
  • Salesforce Certified Data Architect

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work with government stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and documentation abilities.
  • Leadership qualities to guide cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical approach to solving complex integration challenges.

Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience with state-level system integrations.
  • Knowledge of federal grant management requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in government projects.
  • Experience with DevOps practices for Salesforce (CI/CD pipelines, Gearset, GitHub).
