A leading airline is seeking to engage an experienced employment investigator on a full-time (40 hours per week) contract basis for an initial 6 month term.
Duration: 6 Months (From 12/17/2024 until 6/16/2025)
Pay Rate: $55 - $70 / hr
Role:
This position is primarily responsible for conducting prompt, thorough, objective and confidential investigations of internal and external complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and/or policy violations.
This position ensures that all internal and external investigations are conducted in accordance with the Company's established policies and procedures.
This position shall be responsible for conducting investigations globally.
Manages prompt, thorough, and objective workplace investigations of complaints involving allegations of harassment and discrimination, and other policy violations, as assigned by the Senior Manager, Harassment & Discrimination Investigations
Prepares timely detailed written investigative reports for review by an investigations manager prior to being distributed to the Senior Manager of Harassment & Discrimination Investigations, Legal Counsel, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and other senior leaders
Identifies, collects, analyzes and preserves documentary and physical evidence related to the matters being investigated
Provides findings to the Senior Manager of Harassment & Discrimination Investigations, Legal Counsel, Human Resources, Labor Relations, and other senior leaders based on the investigative fact-finding and analysis of those facts
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Criminal Justice/Criminology, in Human Resources or other related fields) or equivalent work experience in a corporate setting investigating policy violations
Bar admission not required
3-5 years of corporate investigative experience, including Harassment and Discrimination investigations
Extensive experience conducting effective workplace investigations involving in-person or virtual interviews of employees and vendors throughout all functional areas
Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
Strong analytical, fact-finding and evidence gathering skills
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain credibility within all levels of the organization
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive, employment-related information
Ability to be flexible and exercise a sense of urgency in handling multiple cases, effectively planning, organizing and prioritizing cases
