Donations Assistant

Our client located in Dallas, Texas is looking to hire a Donations Assistant. This is a direct hire opportunity with a nonprofit.

Donations Assistant Role:

Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing our donor engagement, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks, and helping achieve the goals of our annual, capital, and planned giving campaigns.

Ensure the accuracy and organization of donor records, supporting the integrity of the donor database.

Assist in the creation of personalized donor communications, including timely thank-you letters and other correspondence.

Prepare reports, create queries, and export data, ensuring that reports are well-organized and professionally formatted.

Help organize meetings with individual donors and group cultivation or appreciation events, ensuring smooth logistics and a positive experience for all involved.

Manage smaller, seasonal initiatives such as holiday flower memorials, from start to finish.

Work with the Communications team to prepare targeted lists for newsletters and print mailings, ensuring consistency with overall goals and strategies.

Support the logistics of donor events, including catering, invitations, guest lists, and attendance tracking.

Keep track of departmental supplies, including donor materials, correspondence stock, and event materials.

Assist in encouraging a culture of generosity among staff and community members.

Provide assistance for various events and activities, including occasional evenings and weekends; reliable transportation required.

Donations Assistant Background Profile:

Degree is preferred

5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or charitable organization.

1 year of experience working directly with the collections of Donations, Fundraisers, or Charity Campaigns is preferred but not required.

Strong skills in report generation and document preparation using a CRM, with a focus on accurate and professional formatting is required.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Teams, Word, and Excel.
