This role is responsible for the execution of Payroll processes for the Proclinical US Contractor business. The main function of this role is to operate as a key member of the Finance team to liaise between contractors, HR, and the business to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll. This role will work closely with Paychex to process payroll and have the opportunity to interact directly with employees and business leadership to ensure that all issues are addressed and resolved according to company protocols.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage multi-state, weekly contractor payroll for US business, owning the process end-to-end (roughly 200 contractors across 30 states including hourly and salaried individuals)
Work within Paychex to ensure records are accurate and payroll runs without errors
Weekly collection of hours from online customer portals and Paychex Time and Attendance
Administer expense reimbursements
Manage new hire set up and ensure the proper taxes and deductions are recoded
Ensure all tax IDs are obtained and maintained for tax withholding purposes
Manage shared accounts box and proactively address employee queries to ensure that all issues are resolved within a timely manner
Proactively work to address problem areas within the payroll process and work with team to implement process improvements
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll- specific role
College Degree- Finance or Accounting background preferred
Paychex experience preferred
Workday experience a plus
Strong Communication Skills and proactive, "go-getter" personality
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience preferred
