Director Preconstruction to lead, and play a pivotal role in shaping preconstruction pursuit of ground-up construction, repositioning renovations, and interior projects.
**About the Job**
You would collaborate closely with the retiring Director of Preconstruction to pursue new opportunities, working hand-in-hand with owners, design consultants, and colleagues from project conception through design and budget development. Your position skills and responsibilities will include:
Building, leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Precon Managers.
Nurturing business relationships alongside the retiring Director.
Engaging with subcontractors and vendors.
Responding to RFPs as part of the Executive team creating a bid strategy and approach.
Interacting with project owners and consulting to define the scope of work and long-lead items, developing details and quantities, and providing cost guidance in developing project contract documents.

**Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in providing conceptual budgets and creating GMAX proposals, with the past five years in a Senior or Director of Precon roles.
Professional demeanor with strong communication and presentation skills and comfortable interacting in a senior leadership role with project owners, consultants, subs, and other stakeholders
Demonstrated experience building, leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Precon Managers is very important to our client.
Expertise in subcontractor/supplier bidding strategy, bid evaluation, and detailed estimate presentation.
Experience preference for Health Care, Life sciences, Industrial, Institutional, Manufacturing, and Warehouse/Distribution Centers.
