Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the procurement of materials, components, and services essential for our manufacturing processes. This position is key to ensuring we meet production schedules while upholding quality and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a background in aerospace, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Manage the entire procurement process, from supplier selection to contract negotiation and purchase order management.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize excess or shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations in all purchasing activities.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing metrics and trends for senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of purchasing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proven ability in negotiation and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
