Role: Trade Surveillance Engineer
Location: Lake Mary FL (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Job summary:
This role is crucial in safeguarding market integrity, reducing risk, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Design and deploy tools for monitoring trading behavior.
- Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements (e.g., MAR, MiFID II, Dodd Frank)
- Automate manual processes in trade surveillance to improve efficiency.
- Optimize existing systems for speed, scalability, and accuracy.
- Analyze alerts and escalate potential violations to compliance.
- Document investigations and provide detailed reports
Required skills:
- Proficiency in programming (Python, Java, SQL), data analysis, and handling large datasets.
- Knowledge of Financial Markets: Understanding of trading practices, products, and market regulations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of regulations like MiFID II, MAR, SEC rules, etc.
