We are seeking a Senior Estimator with 5-10 years of experience working on commercial or multifamily projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project estimating and preconstruction, with the ability to handle all aspects of cost estimating and value engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creation and completion of full project estimates.
Analyze current market pricing and develop unit pricing for accurate cost forecasting.
Research and identify material alternatives as required for the project.
Develop value engineering ideas and provide associated costs.
Create and manage preconstruction schedules, while understanding project staffing and general conditions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
Perform detailed on-screen takeoffs and set up qualified subcontractor bid lists.
Actively engage subcontractors to ensure competitive bidding and analyze bids for accuracy and scope coverage.
Prepare professional presentation documents and present cost information to clients.
Review, analyze, and correct estimates from other team members.
