The role of the SysOps Help Desk Associate is to provide tier 1 support for hardware and software issues to all corporate users. This involves assisting with technical inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and resolving common issues, ensuring that systems are properly set up and maintained. For more complex issues, the Help Desk Associate will escalate tickets to the appropriate teams for further resolution while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Primarily to cover core hours, although there may be a requirement to cover outside of normal office hours
Document solutions and ensure others are informed of changes and developments
Handling and resolving tier 1 support issues, while efficiently escalating more complex problems to the appropriate teams for further resolution.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of Microsoft and Apple operating systems
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
Customer service skills and patience
Pleasant phone skills and demeanor
Able to read and understand technical manuals
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Work Environment/Physical Demands
? Minimum manual labor is involved, ability to lift up to 40 pounds
