SEH is seeking an Architectural Market Leader to join our Architectural Practice team in growing our Municipal Market in Texas. This position is open to candidates residing in San Antonio, Austin, Fredericksburg, Houston, or surrounding areas.

This Opportunity:
Drive and direct business activities to build long-term client relationships which in turn create sustainable business workstreams and strong business networks
Live on the front lines in developing meaningful connections and strong partnerships, and are in a unique position for bringing strategies to our clients in addressing their building and site development needs
Build on our success to collaborate across disciplines, regions and states to boost architectural business growth through development of new client sales and new territory expansion
Market SEH architectural services; communicate information to prospective clients on the broad range of SEH building and site development services
Develop relationships with targeted municipal clients and selective private clients and secure new client sales in alignment to business growth goals, with prioritized attention to municipal fire station development
Prepare, maintain, and execute client strategy plans in conjunction with established municipal market business profile
Participate in updating of municipal market business profile on an annual basis or as needed
Establish and maintain a business opportunity pipeline and achieve annual business growth targets
Represent SEH at conferences and professional organizations to promote municipal market expertise and to grow architectural market presence within municipal client and industry networks
Identify scope and availability of financing mechanisms and interface with appropriate funding agencies to facilitate municipal fire station development
Lead client meetings and interface with additional parties for the successful pursuit and securement of targeted projects
Communicate information, both orally and in writing, to a diverse audience including prospective clients, state agencies, local units of government, specialized professionals, residents, developers, and community groups
Lead proposal collaboration efforts with internal SEH staff and team partners; demonstrate a proven track record in developing proposals that create strong positioning for winning work
Establish and maintain effective long-term sustainable relationships with clients, strategic partners, and government officials to facilitate business growth
Enter and maintain current accurate sales information with SEH's Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform
Lead project teams in the efficient execution of work and in delivering projects in alignment with established project schedule, budget and quality standards
Essential Qualifications:
Experience with strong expertise in municipal market architecture with a focus to fire station development; acknowledged as an expert
Professional Bachelors Degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect in the State of Texas
Candidates should be able to communicate their knowledge of the Municipal Market as it relates to Texas and be able to demonstrate long-term market success, with a preference to strong expertise in fire station development
Strong business management skills with previous leadership roles and proven success in securing new work, building business networks, and expanding business markets
Recognized and well-connected with representatives from current and prospective clientele; experienced in working with clients, communities and businesses in Texas
Understanding of market economics, industry trends, client types, and what it takes to successfully deliver architectural services and solutions within Texas market.
Strong networking skills
Ability to work independently and to coordinate activities across regional teams and offices
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information to all levels of individuals both internal and external
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling
Proficiently use word processing and spreadsheet programs
Personal transportation and a valid driver's license
Availability to travel and attend meetings. Some overnight stays may be required
Must reside in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, orsurrounding areas in Texas
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Architecture
NCARB Certification with ability to obtain licensure in additional states
Experience working with state and local funding programs
Private Sector market experience
Ten+ years' experience in architecture
