The School of Engineering, Computing and Construction Management invites applications at the Assistant/Associate Professor level for a tenure-track position in the Engineering program. This position seeks candidates in the fields of Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical engineering, and will be available in the fall 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach freshman design courses, upper level discipline-specific elective courses, and graduate courses that are part of interdisciplinary graduate programs, such as Engineering Management. The successful candidate also will be expected to develop an externally-funded research program, and actively participate and contribute to University and School service activities.
The ABET accredited Engineering degree at Roger Williams University is a multidisciplinary program which synthesizes integrative thinking and experiential learning. The growing program offers a number of engineering specializations.
All tenure-track RWU faculty members must demonstrate effectiveness in the following three categories: 1) Teaching, including Advising; 2) Scholarship; and 3) Service. Applicants must have: earned Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or related field by the time of appointment, a desire to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, a demonstrable potential for scholarly achievement, and have an interest in the University's interdisciplinary initiatives, such as sustainable oceans and coastal futures. Candidates with teaching experience at the undergraduate/graduate level and professional experience will be given preference. Candidates must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills.

At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be accepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
