ATA Services, Inc., is looking for Licensing Review Specialists for our client Minnesota's Office of Cannabis.

Hourly rate: $30
Schedule: Monday-Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Position Responsibilities
• Examine and evaluate the status of applicant requests to determine if the applicant has applied for the appropriate license and meets regulatory requirements and qualifications including initial licensing, continuing education, application procedures, and reinstatement of license after lapse, license inactivation, transfer of license, license renewal, certifications, name and address changes, and status changes.
• Ensure that applicant license requirements are met and that applications are complete. Ensure that licensure renewal timelines are met and in compliance.
• Evaluate documentation submitted by applicants review and authorize approvals and develop change requirements.
• Write letters and memos regarding deficiencies and compliance issues regarding applications.
• Contact applicants for additional information when applications are incomplete, inaccurate, or missing information.
• Review complex applications, processes, and determine disposition of applications, filings, and renewals. Initiate next steps when applications fall outside the normal processes.
• Verify applicant credentials, when needed.
• Verify correct applicable fees have been received based on numerous categories of potential licensing transactions.
• Verify criminal background checks and review legal documentation pertinent to criminal charges, conviction, sentencing and probation for applicants.
• Prepare required documents.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Analytical skills sufficient to review documents to determine completeness and compliance with requirements.
• Word processing and data management skills sufficient to document and categorize information.
• Proficient in English (speaking, writing and reading) including composition, spelling, grammar, proofreading and punctuation, to accurately compose, edit, and notes and documents.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of private information according to laws, rules, policies, and procedures
• Experience in executing multiple tasks and activities.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
