DAMAGE PREVENTION SPECIALIST

What You Will Earn

Rate of pay starts at $17.50 and up depending on experience.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include reading and processing utility maps, working closely with the excavating community, advanced computer skills, experience with different types of locating equipment, and excellent communication skills. Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years verifiable locating experience, good work ethic, and demonstrate good decision-making skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude

Work Requirements & Highly Desirable Skills:

1. Provide a valid, unexpired Driver’s License.
2. H.S. Diploma or GED equivalency required.
3. Locating experience is highly desirable.
4. Good work ethic, safety adherence, and decision-making skills.
5. Must be physically fit and able to report to work each day focused on the critical work we perform.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, employees regularly:
• Drive 50 to 300+ miles daily as required by assigned geographic locating area.
• Stand and walk lengthy distances (1+ miles) over uneven terrain in all weather conditions.
• Sit for long periods of time while driving.
• Lift and/or move 50 to 150 pounds.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
