Salary/Position Classification


  • $15.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

  • 10-12 hours per week

  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No

  • Hybrid Work Availability: No


Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.


The College of Engineering & Mines is looking for student building monitors to assist the College of Engineering & Mines during after or non-business hours. This position is open to FWS and INST student funding.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Walk the entire complex each hour

  • Document each walk with notes with exact date and times

  • Report maintenance and cleaning issues to the supervisor in a timely manner

  • Report any disturbances or safety violations to the proper authorities

  • Work independently without direct supervisor for extended periods of time

  • Be able to answer questions without contact of supervisors

Minimum Requirements

  • Work evenings and weekends plus some holidays

  • Have a basic working knowledge of safety policies and procedures

  • Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester

  • Successful completion of a Standard Criminal History Background Check
