The Office of Academic Affairs Event Manager will provide oversight, planning and execution for events within the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) under the direction of the Director of the Office of Program Management. The Event Manager position serves as a key role in aligning events with the strategic vision for the Office of Academic Affairs.
The Event Manager leads, directs, plans, and implements one-time and ongoing events, as well as provides strategy and direction for events across the Office of Academic Affairs. Examples of events include faculty development events (i.e., new faculty orientation, newly promoted and tenured events, faculty awards, and faculty networks), new academic department chair development events, OAA day long and multi day retreats, lecture programs (i.e., Emeritus Academy on-going lectures and Patterson Lecture), OAA celebrations, leadership retreats, Provost and OAA leader initiatives, community and external facing events, and Buckeyes for Charity.
Event Management (80%): Oversee day-to-day operations of event planning, determine event outcomes and goals, schedule events, manage event budgets, organize event planning committees, coordinate all logistics and event day itineraries, facilitate vendor/speaker relations, arrange food and beverage, order supplies and decorations, coordinate audiovisual equipment and operation, secure travel and lodging arrangements, oversee the RSVP process, create event briefings, and coordinate with Marketing and Communications to produce event communications plans (including invitations, print pieces, program content, and signage). Implement appropriate wrap-up processes for each event.
Event Consultation (20%): Serve as an event planning resource, provide event consultation to areas and units across OAA, and assist the Director of the Office of Program Management in determining strategy and operational procedures for the office (e.g., creation of an event intake process, OAA events shared calendar, and project management systems).

The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 64,300 - 75,348 The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
