The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks an Advancement Services Associate to support the College's Office of Advancement. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Advancement Services Associate operates with a high degree of independence, organization, attention to detail and problem solving. They will serve as an integral member of the Advancement team and provide operational support in the areas of fundraising, stewardship, and engagement for alumni, grateful clients of the Veterinary Health System, and friends of the college and serve as project manager coordinator for collaborative projects within the team to help ensure projects stay on track to meet project deadlines.
The Advancement Services Associate plays a key support role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations for the Advancement Team. This position requires a highly organized individual who can manage multiple tasks, assist in process optimization, and contribute to the overall success of the team by providing operational support across various functions. They must have polished interpersonal skills and be capable of interacting successfully with leadership, donors, faculty, Advancement colleagues, and other key stakeholders. The Advancement Services Associate will serve as the first point of contact for the online and phone inquiries for Advancement team. This position serves as a bridge-builder, ensuring information flows seamlessly between academic and administrative partners and the Advancement team and serves as a conduit of information and strategy between college leadership and faculty and fundraisers, stewardship, engagement, events, and communications staff to advance the collaborative efforts of the Advancement team. The Associate maintains a current, thorough knowledge of the strategic goals and funding priorities of the Advancement team, departments, and college, and partners closely with front-line fundraisers, donor relations, and engagement team members to align opportunities for support with donor goals. The individual will collect information and data to assist with proposal development and stewardship of donors, and play an integral role in helping support implementing events and experiences on campus to engage current and prospective donors. The Associate coordinates, processes, and reconciles purchasing and PCard expenses for Advancement team; maintains compliance with OSU expenditure policies and procedures.
Natural collaborators grounded in strong verbal and written communication skills will do well in this role. Strong listening skills with the ability to distill information and communicate it effectively to a diverse audience are a must as well as an innate aptitude for organization and planning. This role is critical in supporting the efficiency of operations within the team, ensuring that daily tasks are completed smoothly, and the team can achieve its objectives. The Advancement Services Associate role offers a flexible schedule including hybrid work as agreed upon with the Chief Advancement Officer.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 1 year of fundraising or sales, program coordination and/or related administrative function
* Ability to use Microsoft Office suite and quickly assimilate to new technology

* Experience with project management software

The hiring range for this position is $20.22 - $26.33 per hour. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity and the candidate's qualifications.
