The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity seeks to hire a community outreach representative to contribute to several research- and evidence-based community initiatives at the local, state and federal levels. The Institute has a 21-year history of conducting community-engaged research in partnership with hundreds of communities throughout the United States. This position will participate in organizing logistics and assisting the Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement with implementation of new community initiatives that cross a variety of policy areas in the service of Kirwan's new three-year strategic plan.
As Community Outreach Representative for the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity the successful candidate will serve in a translational capacity by providing presentations, webinars, and local history tours that bring Kirwan's research alive for non-academic communities. They will track outreach initiative impact through data collection, analysis, and database management; they will also create internal reports to communicate outreach efforts and impacts. Engages in travel and presentations for Kirwan-funded projects and represents Kirwan on community collaborations with existing Institute partners on an as-needed basis.
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2 years of experience in research-based community outreach support.
Desired: Master's degree and 3 years' experience in research-based community outreach support
The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 47,200 - 60,000 The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
